About The Founder/Author

A Brooklyn native with an extensive primary healthcare and nursing research background, fascination with hope began during her doctoral studies, inspired by a charm bearing the word H-O-P-E. This token of optimism has been a consistent beacon in her life, reminding her of the endless possibilities when we have faith in the future. The themes of her book, Hope and Joy, reflect these personal experiences. Now a Florida resident, Dr. Melhado enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband, children, and several grandchildren, continually finding new inspiration in her family and her work.
